Ringkasan:
We have leaders in our lives
Who are our leaders that you know?
(PM, School monitors, Parents, grandparents,
Teachers (form teachers, principal, vice-p), God, School staff (guards, cleaners),
Pastors, Class monitor / class president, PM).
What do they do? (Make rules, keep us regulated)
But why though? Can’t we keep ourselves in place without rules? because We have fallen into sin
Biggest sin of all: pride
We think we are the best, want to be the best, knowing everything
Tends to fight against others who are better than us.
Israelites is special, chosen by God to be His people. But they take this blessing for granted.
God chooses the people from Levi tribe (Aaron’s descendants) to be His priests and lead the worship,
people of Reuben got jealous, cos they think they are the eldest they should be given the privilege.
They think Moses cannot make good decisions, or biased (because Aaron is His brother).
So three people from Reuben tribe conspired to rebel against Moses.
They refuses to follow Moses’ rules and openly accuses Moses in front of everybody that he is bringing them out of Egypt to suffer more.
Although they know that Moses is God’s chosen leader.
So God gives them punishment: earthquake that cracks the earth and swallowed them
What about us?
Govt, teachers, school monitors, even our parents, our Sunday School teachers are not perfect either, can make mistake. But they are there because God had trusted the leadership position to them. So God wants each of us to respect everyone who are leaders in our lives.
