Ringkasan:
For the past few weeks, children have been learning about God’s commandment on how the people of Israel should worship Him, which include the setting apart of the priests, type of sacrifices to offer, and the holy days to keep.
This week children will learn about how God established Tabernacle worship for people of Israel to draw near to Him. However, the animal sacrifice could not take away the sins once-for-all. The people of Israel had to offer a yearly sacrifice on the Day of Atonement because they knew that the animal sacrifice was not perfect and the priests, mere sinners, were not good enough to become mediator. All these pointed forward to the coming of Jesus Christ, the promised Savior.
Children will learn few take away points from the lesson today:
1. We no longer need a tabernacle or animal sacrifice to worship God
2. It is through Jesus Christ that God has made a way for us to freely draw near to him in worship
3. Jesus Christ is our High Priest and he is also the perfect sacrifice for our sins
4. Having our sins forgiven, we should continually offer him our praise, worship, and acts of service and love as spiritual sacrifices that are pleasing to God
We give thanks to God that he has given us Jesus Christ so that we can draw near to him!
Ayat Hafalan:
Hebrews 7:24-25
but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them
